Leeds United are looking to wrap up any potential deal for Glasgow Rangers winger Ryan Kent quickly, the Scotsman suggest.

Leeds are said to be lining up a bid for the former Liverpool man, with Marcelo Bielsa a big fan of his talents.

And Leeds are determined not to hang around, as they aim to get Kent in for their Premier League opener.

The report suggests that Leeds want to seal the deal for Kent before September 12th, when the season starts up.

If Kent was to join Leeds he could increase their threat from out wide, and give serious competition for places down the wing.

Leeds already have the likes of Jack Harrison and Helder Costa who can play down the flank, but Bielsa seemingly wants another option out wide.

Kent could be a good one, as the Rangers man has proven a big threat since moving to Ibrox.

The 23-year-old, who Rangers boss Steven Gerrard has described as a ‘top player’ on STV, chipped in with eight goals and four assists for Rangers last term.

Kent is now one of the Light Blues’ biggest attacking threats, and his departure would be a major blow for Gerrard’s men, so they are unlikely to let him leave without a fight – despite Leeds’ apparent desire to get a transfer sorted quickly.
