Leeds United are hoping to wrap up a deal for a midfielder quickly, the Yorkshire Evening Post suggest.
Leeds have been linked with a range of targets in midfield this summer – from Rodrigo de Paul (again) to Harrison Reed at Fulham.
The YEP play down those links with Reed, suggesting that he isn’t a player which Leeds are targeting.
However, they are apparently keen to bring in a midfielder and want the deal done sooner rather than later.
There is a feeling that Leeds have room for another creative influence in the centre of pitch.
Klich replacement?
Mateusz Klich has been a prominent player under Marcelo Bielsa but, perhaps, didn’t have the outstanding season in the Premier League many were hoping.

While Klich still is a very solid option, if Leeds could replace him in their starting line-up with a player who could add a real creative spark to their side, they could be even more of an attacking threat.
Leeds competed well in their first season back in the top flight, and there is real belief that if they strengthen this summer, then they could push on.
Getting a deal for a midfielder wrapped up early could be important too.
Bielsa is known to be hugely demanding, so the longer any new signings get to bed in over pre-season, the easier their transition should be when the competitive actions starts.
