According to the Daily Star, Leeds United are plotting a move for Bournemouth midfielder Lewis Cook, which would cost around £15million.
It’s claimed that the Whites want to re-sign Cook, four years since selling him to the Cherries for just £6million.
Bournemouth may find it difficult to keep Cook after relegation to the Championship, and this would at least see them make a £9million profit.
The 23-year-old is being tracked by Leeds ahead of a possible bid, and he would surely relish the chance to return to Elland Road.
Cook came up through the Leeds academy, becoming a fan favourite in 85 appearances for the club before being snapped up by Bournemouth.
The all-action midfielder made his England debut in 2018, but only played 75 Premier League games in four seasons for Bournemouth.

Cook would likely play as competition for Mateusz Klich in the box-to-box role in Marcelo Bielsa’s 4-3-3, though his ability on the ball could see him compete with Kalvin Phillips in the holding role too.
Leeds fans would no doubt love to see Cook return for Leeds’ first season back in the Premier League, and the £15million fee seems reasonable for a player with untapped potential as well as top-flight experience under his belt.
