According to The Mirror, Leeds United are looking to sign Patrick van Aanholt on a free transfer from Crystal Palace this summer.
It’s claimed that Leeds are prioritising a new left back this summer having failed to sign one during the January transfer window.
Ezgjan Alioski has been Leeds’ left back for most of the season, but he is out of contract this summer and could leave for nothing.
Victor Orta will now be looking for potential replacements, and Van Aanholt is allegedly emerging as a possible signing.
The 30-year-old is out of contract at Crystal Palace this summer, and currently looks likely to leave the club on a free transfer.
Arsenal looked into a January deal according to The Mirror, but it now seems that Leeds are prepared to rival the Gunners for Van Aanholt.

The Dutchman is an experienced Premier League performer, and whilst there wouldn’t be potential for much profit in the future, he could be an attack-minded replacement for Alioski without breaking the bank.
Van Aanholt cost Palace £14million just four years ago, so landing him for free could be very appealing – but Arsenal could pose a threat.
