Leeds United have reportedly been monitoring Hamilton Academical ace George Stanger.

According to a report from the Evening Times, Leeds are interested in signing Hamilton starlet George Stanger on a permanent basis, but Accies are determined to hold onto the 19-year-old defender.
The Evening Times reports that Hamilton are willing to loan the New Zealand under-23 international out before the transfer window closes as he is not yet in the first-team picture, but they do not want to lose him on a permanent basis.
Leeds have been monitoring his development, and the Evening Times reports that they are now looking at a potential permanent move for the centre-back.

Stanger a welcome addition for Leeds
While Stanger would arrive some way off being ready for the first-team at Elland Road if Leeds could agree a deal, he would be still be a very useful addition to the youth ranks at Thorp Arch.
Leeds surprised many by selling a number of their young centre-backs over the summer, with the likes of Paudie O’Connor, Aapo Halme and Hugo Diaz all departing.

Right-back Bryce Hosannah started alongside Pascal Struijk for the under-23s in their opening game of the campaign on Monday, so it is no surprise that the club have their sights set on signing a new centre-back.
But it appears that they will have plenty of work to do if they hope to add Stanger to their ranks with Hamilton keen to keep him on the books.
