Leeds United are being linked to quite a few players – and for obvious reason.

Marcelo Bielsa has masterminded a promotion-winning campaign for the Whites, who are back in the Premier League for the first time in 16 years.

With that comes financial rewards and Leeds’ managing director Angus Kinnear confirmed earlier this month that returning to the top flight was worth nine figures to United, who are subsequently linked with high-profile moves for the likes of Edinson Cavani among others.

Their latest reported target isn’t quite as high profile, however.

According to 90 Minutes, Leeds have asked Brighton & Hove Albion about bringing Solly March to Elland Road.

The 26-year-old winger, who has two years left on his contract with the Seagulls, has suffered reduced game time with Albion in recent seasons, but the West Yorkshire club, along with Newcastle United and Everton, are reportedly interested.

The report adds that £15 million could be enough to tempt Brighton to sell.

March is an interesting player, one who doesn’t have particularly eye-catching stats, having set up just one goal last season and scored none in 19 outings, but Graeme Souness is a fan.

He said via Sussex Live only last month: “Whenever I am working on a Brighton game, I like to see him play. He’s a clever footballer. The big question is could he go to a bigger club? I reckon he could because he has a good football brain.”

Leeds are definitely a bigger club than Brighton and it’ll be fascinating to see if he does join Bielsa’s side – or Everton or Newcastle – and thrive, as Souness predicts.
