Leeds United are still being tipped to sign Jerry Mbakogu.

Lost amid the drawn out saga to try and appoint Marcelo Bielsa are Leeds United’s transfer plans.
One deal they have in place is the option to sign Carpi striker Jerry Mbakogu, only for this to be put at risk this week when the Serie B side dismissed their sporting director Matteo Scala.
Now reports in Italy are insisting the transfer is still on.

Newspaper Gazzetta Di Modena report it would be considered a surprise if Leeds do not sign Mbakogu.
A provisional deal is in place to sign the striker, but all of Leeds transfer business appears to be on hold while the club seek to bring in a new manager.

Bielsa will have to sign off on Mbakogu’s arrival, and it could be that he has bigger ideas.
Mbakogu is from Nigeria but he was granted Italian citizenship in April, removing his need to get a work permit.
