Kemar Roofe is reportedly set to leave Leeds United for Anderlecht.

According to Dhnet.be, Leeds United striker Kemar Roofe will undergo a medical at Anderlecht this weekend.

It has been reported that the Belgian club will pay Leeds a transfer fee of €6 million (£5.49m) for the 26-year-old, who can also operate as a winger.

The report has claimed that a medical for former Oxford United striker has been planned in Brussels for this weekend.

Low price?

Roofe was one of the best strikers in the Championship last season, and scored 15 goals and provided two assists in 33 league appearances for Leeds, according to WhoScored.

The striker led the line well for Marcelo Bielsa’s side, and Leeds are selling the 26-year-old for quite a low price.

Roofe is worth more than €6m (£5.49m) to the Whites, as without him in the squad, they are short of a striker, and that will adversely affect their chances of finishing in the top six of the Championship this season.

Earlier this summer, Leeds told star defender Pontus Jansson to Championship rivals Brentford for just £5.5m, as reported by The Yorkshire Post.

Not only is Leeds Director of Football Victor Orta selling Roofe at a low price, but he is also selling the striker at a time when it is going to be extremely tough to find a suitable replacement – it is a big mistake.
