Leeds United are closer to getting rid of the 27-year-old.

The 27-year-old has been told that he has no future at Leeds United by head Thomas Christiansen.

The Italian has a fractious relationship with Leeds supporters and that worsened last week when fans of the Yorkshire club jeered him during a friendly.

Adam Pope of BBC Radio Yorkshire recently tweeted that the centre-back – who spent last season on loan at Empoli, who were relegated – believed that his spell at Elland Road would soon be over.

And Calciomercato have reported that Bellusci’s representatives have held positive talks with the Greek outfit. but there is still work to be done.

Leeds still need another centre-back, with Liam Cooper and Pontus Jansson their only options.

Kyle Bartley, who was immense last season, does not look like he’ll be re-signing for the Whites and with Bellusci gone it only adds to the importance of another couple of options.
