Leeds United defender Gaetano Berardi is ready to step up.

Leeds United defender Gaetano Berardi was advised to undergo season ending surgery, the Yorkshire Evening Post report.
This came following his hamstring injury suffered back in October.
Berardi chose not to undergo surgery and has been trying to recover naturally.
He is now in line for a crucial role in a fortnight’s time.
Leeds defender Pontus Jansson is expected to miss the Championship game at home to Millwall, after the club confirmed he has a knee injury.
Berardi was said to be determined to play a part in Leeds’ promotion battle, leading his decision to avoid surgery.

The Swiss defender shone in a centre-back role early in the season.
He has recently been playing for Leeds’ under-23 team.
Berardi’s only appearance in 2019 came as a substitute a fortnight ago in Leeds’ win over Bristol City, playing the final seven minutes.
