Caleb Ekuban suffered his injury during Leeds United’s Championship game against Sunderland last month

According to the report, Ekuban has undergone surgery on a broken foot bone and will be out of action for at least eight weeks.
The 22-year-old Ghanaian underwent the operation last week, having suffered the injury on his Championship debut against Sunderland in August.

The youngster failed to complete the game, and it seems that his injury is quite severe.
The injury to Ekuban will come as blow to both the player and the fans, who must have been looking forward to watching him in action.
Ekuban joined Championship club Leeds from Italian outfit Chievo in the summer transfer window for a fee reported by The Yorkshire Evening Post to be worth £500,000.

It is not easy to hit the ground running at a new club, and the injury to the striker could affect his chances of playing regularly this season.
Leeds, though, do have options in attack, with Pierre-Michel Lasogga, Jay-Roy Grot, Pawel Cibicki and Kemar Roofe good strikers.
