Leeds United have taken Pierre Michel Lasogga on loan from Hamburg for the season.

Lasogga’s future at Elland Road is still uncertain, but surely Leeds should avoid making a bid.
The German striker has been shifted out of Leeds starting line-up recently, with Caleb Ekuban taking his place.
And Lasogga has proven over this season that he isn’t the right man to lead the line for a promotion chasing side.

Leeds were believed to be trying to work out a deal for the forward last month, even though the logistics are complicated.
Lasogga would have to take a big pay cut to join the Whites, as he is on a rather eye-watering £50,000-a-week deal at Hamburg, the YEP report.

And Leeds should not be even tempted to make Lasogga one of their top earners next season.
It is arguably rather worrying that even last month Leeds were considering Lasogga as an option, as even before that there should have been serious question marks over the target-man.
But his failure to hit the back of the net in any of his last nine league appearances should have ended chance of him returning to Elland Road next season.
