Leeds United are interested in signing Kalvin Phillips from Manchester City in the summer transfer window.

Leeds United want to bring Kalvin Phillips back from Manchester City

That’s according to The Daily Star, who are reporting this evening that Leeds are keen on bringing back Phillips.

The West Yorkshire club want to re-sign the England international midfielder on loan in the January transfer window.

However, defending Premier League champions Manchester City turned down that offer.

Leeds remain keen on the player they sold to Manchester City for £42 million last summer and want to bring him back to Elland Road, according to The Daily Star.

HITC Verdict: Kalvin Phillips should consider Leeds United return

In our view, Kalvin Phillips should consider a return to Leeds United in the summer transfer window, if the West Yorkshire stay in the Premier League for next season.

The 27-year-old midfielder has struggled at City and is now essentially a squad player under manager Pep Guardiola.

The England international has made five substitute appearances in the Premier League and three substitute appearances in the UEFA Champions League for City so far this season.

Phillips was brilliant during his time at Leeds, and he could return to his best if he went back to Elland Road and played for his boyhood club again.
