Leeds United reportedly want Swansea City striker Oliver McBurnie as a replacement for Burnley-bound Chris Wood.

Leeds United are interested in signing Oliver McBurnie from Swansea City in the summer transfer window, according to The Sun.

It has been reported by the British tabloid that Leeds want the 21-year-old striker as a replacement for Chris Wood.

Woods looks set to leave Leeds in the summer transfer window, having announced on social networking site Twitter that negotiations with a Premier League club are going on.

That Premier League club is probably Burnley, with The Lancashire Telegraph reporting that Wood will undergo a medical at the Clarets on Sunday.

According to The Sun, Premier League outfit Swansea will let Scotland Under-21 international striker McBurnie once Fernando Llorente is fully fit or a new signing is made.

McBurnie is a talented and promising young striker, but it would be a massive gamble from Leeds to expect the 21-year-old to be replacement for Wood.

Wood scored 27 goals in the Championship last season, and it is going to very hard for any striker to replicate that kind of form during the 2017-18 campaign.
