Leeds United are interested in signing Joshua Wilson-Esbrand from Manchester City in the January transfer window, according to The Daily Mail.

It has been reported that the 18-year-old City left-back is on the radar of Premier League rivals Leeds.

Who is Joshua Wilson-Esbrand?

Wilson-Esbrand is a very talented and promising young left-back who joined City in 2019 after leaving West Ham.

Some West Ham fans were far from pleased to see the teenager leave, which shows just how highly he is rated.

The youngster has been described as a ‘powerful, marauding left-back’ on the City’s official website and is claimed to have ‘a dynamic presence’.

Leaving Manchester City for Leeds United

Leeds have a very good academy, and one suspects that the Whites are looking at the 18-year-old for their youth team.

If the teenager progresses well in the Leeds youth team and shows his quality, then he could get his chance for the senior side.

Leeds head coach Marcelo Bielsa has shown that he is not afraid to use young players, such as Ian Poveda, Oliver Casey and Leif Davis.
