Alexandru Maxim has been strongly linked to Leeds United.

Over the weekend reports in Romanian news outlet Digi Sport claimed Leeds United were in advanced discussions over the signing of winger Alexandru Maxim.
Maxim, 26, has been linked with Leeds for the past 12 months and it appeared they might be close to finally getting their man.
Yet a report in German newspaper BILD last night indicates strongly that no deal with Leeds is likely to take place.

BILD report Stuttgart are open to a sale at 3 million Euros (£2.6 million) and his exit is possible.
Their report specifically states: “Leeds United wants Maxim, but the second [tier of the] English league is not an option for the dribbler.”
Leeds remain without a head coach and this means convincing him to commit to the project at Elland Road would be even tougher.
He scored five goals and provided six assists last season, in 15 Bundesliga starts and 10 appearances from the bench.
Stuttgart spent last season in the second tier of German football, but went up as champions and will be in the Bundesliga this campaign.
A step to Leeds may therefore seem like a backwards move at this present time, although the fact he did stick with Stuttgart last season may suggest that his mind could potentially still be swayed.
