Leeds United retain an interest in West Bromwich Albion manager Carlos Corberan after Victor Orta’s recent departure.
Leeds United are hunting for a new manager yet again and still like West Bromwich Albion’s Carlos Corberan.
That is according to the Daily Mail, who claim that Corberan has ‘admirers’ inside Elland Road.
Corberan joined Leeds as their Under-23 boss in 2017 after previous spells in charge of Doxa Katokopias and Ermis Aradippou.
The Spaniard stepped to become a key assistant to Marcelo Bielsa before being plucked by Huddersfield Town.
Corberan guided Huddersfield to the Championship playoff final last season before a brief spell in charge of Olympiacos.
Now with West Brom, Corberan turned the Baggies around after replacing Steve Bruce and will be gunning for promotion next season.
Leeds were linked with Corberan earlier this year as a replacement for Jesse Marsch.
The Daily Mail reported that Andrea Radrizzani was keen to land Corberan but Victor Orta wanted to explore other options.
Orta has now gone and that may mean that Radrizzani rekindles the interest in Corberan as Leeds look to replace Sam Allardyce.

It’s hard to imagine Carlos Corberan heading to Leeds United now
West Brom fans are used to seeing Corberan being linked with Leeds after the rumours in February.
The Baggies didn’t hang around though, handing Corberan a new contract until the summer of 2027.
Corberan committed his future to the Baggies just over three months ago and it’s hard to see him wanting to leave now.
A return to Elland Road would be emotional for Corberan after spending three years there as a coach.
Some of Marcelo Bielsa’s principles are seen in Corberan’s work and Leeds fans would be right behind him.
West Brom fought to keep Corberan last time and will surely do so again, no doubt having some confidence given that Leeds don’t have Premier League football to offer.
