Leeds United are set to start their pre-season schedule with a match against Harrogate later today.

According to a report in the Yorkshire Evening Post, both Pontus Jansson and Eunan O’Kane could feature in Leeds United’s behind closed doors friendly against Harrogate.

Leeds are due to kick off their pre-season schedule with a non-competitive match against the non-league side this afternoon.

Leeds manager Garry Monk talks to Pontus Jansson

Both Jansson and O’Kane were given extended leave by Leeds this summer, but the pair have joined up with Thomas Christiansen’s squad now.

And the YEP suggest that Christiansen could select them both to get minutes against Harrogate.

Leeds are likely to be keen to use all of their first-team players against Harrogate, to get them some game time.

Christiansen will also be keen to assess the players at his disposal in a match situation.

Leeds’ first friendly open to fans to watch comes at the weekend, when they take on Guiseley.

The Whites will then tour Austria, as Christiansen looks to sharpen up his squad ahead of the Championship season.

Leeds get their campaign underway with a match against Bolton Wanderers in August.
