Leeds United have missed out in the race to sign Conor O’Malley St. Patrick’s Athletics.
Leeds had been interested in snapping up O’Malley from the Irish side, but Peterborough United have won the race.
The League One club are now set to bring O’Malley to the ABAX Stadium in the near future.
Posh are likely to bring the 22-year-old in as back-up to Jonathan Bond, who has taken the number one shirt for Grant McCann’s side since signing on loan from Reading.
O’Malley would likely have been back-up at Leeds too, but there is more competition for him at Elland Road.
Leeds have Felix Wiedwald, Rob Green and Bailey Peacock-Farrell all available to play in goal for them.
O’Malley has impressed for St Pats this term, with his performances making him one of the most admired goalkeepers in Ireland.
Like Leeds, Wigan Athletic also missed out on signing O’Malley, with Posh winning the race.
