Leeds United have made a bid for Levante midfielder Jose Campana, according to El Desmarque.
It has been reported by the Spanish news outlet that Leeds have offered the Spanish club an initial transfer fee of €15 million (£13.59 million) for the midfielder, who was on the books of Premier League club Crystal Palace in 2013-14.
Leeds, who are playing in Premier League this season after winning automatic promotion from the Championship, made the bid for the 27-year-old on Friday, and Levante are now considering whether or not to accept it, according to the report.
According to the report, Leeds officials do not think that Levante will accept the offer, as they may consider it too low and may not have enough time to bring in a replacement, with the summer transfer window to close on Monday.
Stats
According to WhoScored, Campana has provided one assist in three La Liga matches for Levante so far this season.
During the 2019-20 campaign, the 27-year-old midfielder made 35 starts and two substitute appearances in the league, scoring two goals and providing seven assists in the process, according to WhoScored.
Back in 2018-19, the Spaniard scored four goals and provided nine assists in 36 league games for Levante, according to WhoScored.
