Leeds United have been left ‘stunned’ by the Championship’s plan to play their match against Derby County at Southampton, according to The Telegraph

Leeds’s game against Derby has reportedly been flagged as a ‘high-risk’ game, and therefore could get moved to a neutral venue.

Southampton’s St. Mary’s looks set to play host to the game between the Whites and the Rams, but Leeds have been shocked by the verdict.

Leeds were due to play at Pride Park, and Derby are believed to be arguing to keep the game at their home ground.

The national lead officer, Mark Roberts has denied the claims that the game has been identified as a high risk one, but the Telegraph insist that they have been told by multiple sources that the proposal was made.

Derby’s own police force are now believed to be reviewing whether they see the match being a risky one to stage.

Leeds’s and Derby’s rivalry has heated up in recent times, after a series of hot-tempered clashes.

Derby were the side who denied Leeds a shot at promotion last term, as they knocked them out in the play-off semi-final at Elland Road.
