Leeds are reported to be keen on Muhamed Besic.
Leeds United are keen on a move for Everton midfielder Muhamed Besic, according to reports in his homeland.
Bosnian website Sport claim Leeds United are interested in signing the 25-year-old.
Besic signed for Everton for £4 million in 2014 from Hamburg but has fallen down the pecking order after a number of changes in management.
Last season he was loaned to Middlesbrough in January and he impressed during his spell on Teesside.
Impressive signing – but be sceptical
Besic is international quality and has more than 50 appearances for Everton under his belt.
However there is reason for fans to be sceptical over the authenticity of Leeds interest.
On August 5, website Football Transfer Tavern posted an article suggesting Besic as one of two players Leeds should consider as a replacement for Ronaldo Vieira.
Now two days later Leeds’ interest is being cited in the Bosnian press.
This would not be the first time the foreign press have been unable to distinguish between opinion and news this transfer window.
So while a potentially impressive deal for Leeds, don’t be surprised if the speculation amounts to nothing.
