According to The Athletic, Leeds United are interested in signing Nottingham Forest-owned attacking midfielder Brennan Johnson.
It has been reported that Premier League outfit Leeds have been scouting Johnson this season.
The 19-year-old, who can also operate as a winger, joined League One outfit Lincoln City on loan from Championship club Forest in the summer of 2020.
Burnley, Brentford and Belgium’s Royale Union Saint-Gilloise are also reported to be interested in the Wales international.
“Forest are reluctant to sell unless somebody tables a significant bid that is too good to turn down, while they would be unlikely to sell to another Championship club,” adds the report in The Athletic.
Brennan Johnson Stats
Johnson has been at Forest since 2009 and has come through the ranks. The youngster has made a handful of appearances for the Reds in the Championship.
The Wales international attacker is playing well for Lincoln at the moment and is getting regular time on the pitch.
According to WhoScored, the 19-year-old – who has earned one cap for Wales – has made 17 starts and two substitute appearances in League One so far this season, scoring five goals and providing two assists in the process.
Johnston is progressing well at the moment, and the teenage attacking player would be a good signing for Leeds in the long run.
However, it remains to be seen how much Forest would actually want for the Welsh youngster.
