Brentford and Leeds United are reportedly keen on Amiens striker Moussa Konate.

According to L’Equipe, Leeds United and Brentford are both interested in snapping up Amiens striker Moussa Konate before Thursday’s transfer deadline.
Konate, 25, has endured a nomadic career to date, featuring in his native Senegal with ASC Toure Kunda de Mbour, before heading to Israel with Maccabi Tel Aviv, Russia with Krasnodar, Italy with Genoa, Switzerland with Sion and now France with Amiens.
After smashing 50 goals in 115 games for Sion, it was no surprise to see Konate earn a move last summer, and he impressed in Ligue 1 last season with 13 goals in 33 appearances.
That earned Konate a spot in Senegal’s World Cup squad, and now L’Equipe report that Leeds United and Brentford are both keen to lure Konate to the Championship this week.
The report states that Konate is ‘in the sights’ of both clubs, though with the English transfer window shutting on Thursday, the two clubs may have to move quickly to land him.
Konate’s pace would be hugely appealing, and he would be something of a coup for either side given that he has been linked with Premier League clubs in recent times.

Brentford have already shopped in France twice this summer having landed Julian Jeanvier from Reims and Said Benrahma from Nice this summer, whilst Yoann Barbet and Neal Maupay have also been signed from French clubs recently.
Leeds have signed one striker this summer in Patrick Bamford, but with Caleb Ekuban primed for the exit, Konate would give Marcelo Bielsa another option, with his blistering speed offering something different to Bamford and Kemar Roofe.
