Michael Folorunsho is reportedly heading to the Championship with Leeds United – will he replace Kalvin Phillips?

Leeds United are in pole position to sign midfielder Michael Folorunsho, according to Tuttocalciopuglia.
A Rome-born 21-year-old who started his career in the Lazio academy, Folorunsho currently plays for Vitrus Francavilla in the third tier of Italian football.
But after scoring seven goals in 31 Serie C games in 2018/19, the youngster is expected to be strutting his stuff at a far higher level by the time next season kicks off.
The report claims that Bari are interested in signing Folorunsho but Leeds are currently leading the chase. Tuttocalciopuglia reports that The Whites have put the midfielder at the top of their summer wishlist and are in pole position to get the deal over the line over the next few weeks.

Leeds finished third in the Championship last season and lost to Derby County in the play-offs. But with Marcelo Bielsa staying on for another season at Elland Road, Leeds are well placed to fight for promotion again.
Interest in Folorunsho could increase speculation about the future of Kalvin Phillips with The Telegraph claiming that Aston Villa are set to make a £14million bid for the homegrown playmaker.
