Leeds United only brought in Izzy Brown on loan from Chelsea this summer.

Leeds United do not believe that Izzy Brown will hit top form until 2019, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post.

Leeds brought in Brown on a loan deal from Chelsea in the summer transfer window, but the youngster is yet to feature at Elland Road.

The attacking midfielder suffered a severe injury last term, which kept him out for much of the campaign.

And Marcelo Bielsa’s side are still not expecting Brown to feature for some time yet.

Leeds’ staff believe that Brown won’t be fit enough to play for the Whites’ first-team until next month at the very earliest.

They also don’t anticipate Brown finding his top form until 2019, as he plays catch-up with the rest of his Leeds teammates, who were at Elland Road over pre-season.

Brown could offer Leeds pace, creativity and flair over the second half of the campaign.

But it seems that the youngster still has time to wait before he becomes a part of Bielsa’s first-team.
