Leeds United are said to be close to signing Swansea City defender Kyle Bartley.

According to a report in the Yorkshire Evening Post, Leeds United are close to completing a deal for Swansea City defender Kyle Bartley.
Garry Monk is trying to sign Bartley on a season-long loan deal from Swansea.
The pair both linked up earlier in their careers at the Liberty Stadium, and Monk feels that Bartley’s arrival would enhance the quality of Leeds’ defence.

It is now said that a deal for the centre-back is close to going through, and he could become Monk’s first signing at Elland Road.
Leeds are also on the verge of signing Marcos Antonsson, but they are yet to announce a deal for the Swedish front man, meaning the move for Bartley could go through first.
Bartley is believed to be keen on a switch to Elland Road, while Swansea are willing to sanction a loan move for the 25-year-old.

Bartley made 11 appearances for the Swans last season, but he has not played in a match throughout the entirety of 2016 to date.
If Bartley joins Leeds, he will be in competition with Giuseppe Bellusci, Liam Cooper and Sol Bamba for a first-team place.
