Dutch club reportedly could not compete financially with Leeds.
Leeds United sealed a deal for youngster Bryce Hosannah last week with the youngster putting pen to paper on a contract.
The 18-year-old right-back left Crystal Palace and will link up with the under-23 side, and it has emerged Leeds beat competition from Dutch club FC Twente for his signature.

It is claimed Twente simply could not compete with Leeds financially, and the youngster slipped through their grasp.
Hosannah featured in Leeds under-23 match against Watford last week and has a chance to establish himself as a top option for Carlos Corberan’s side.

The next step is the first team, and considering the way Conor Shaughnessy and Ronaldo Vieira have stepped up, there is a legitimate chance for Hosannah to do the same if the opportunity arises.
It is the second time Leeds have got one over on FC Twente this summer, having struck a deal with them to sign Poland international Mateusz Klich for their first team.
