Leeds United and Liverpool continue to chase George Hall having scouted the Birmingham City ace over the weekend.
Leeds and Liverpool both love to recruit young players for the future.
The Whites are always investing in young prospects such as Darko Gyabi, Sonny Perkins and Diogo Monteiro in recent times.
Liverpool regularly do the same with Kaide Gordon and Ben Doak springing to mind.
Birmingham ace Hall has been on the radar both teams for a while now and a summer move is being eyed up.
The Daily Mail report that Leeds and Liverpool sent scouts to watch Hall in action for Birmingham on Saturday.
Hall turned in a quality performance to help Birmingham claim a 1-0 win over Blackburn Rovers.
Deployed as a number 10, Hall was so good that Blues boss John Eustace called him ‘awesome’ when speaking to the Birmingham Mail after the final whistle.
Leeds have wanted George Hall for a long time
Leeds fans are probably sick of seeing rumours about Hall at this point.
The Daily Mail claimed that Leeds were pushing to sign Hall ahead of the 2022 summer window but no deal was done.
The Mail also reported in November 2021 that Leeds were targeting a deal for Hall in January 2022; again, nothing actually happened.
Leeds have clearly been chasing Hall for a while though and will hope to finally win the race this summer.
Liverpool have been tracking Hall too though, with an idea to add him alongside a former Birmingham youth prospect.
Jude Bellingham has been heavily linked with Liverpool and the Reds may not want to miss the boat on Hall.
The 18-year-old may not be quite as hyped up as Bellingham was at Birmingham but he still has big potential – and that’s why the Blues can now expect bids from Leeds and Liverpool this summer.
