Leeds United, Everton and Wolverhampton Wanderers are among the clubs interested in signing Marcus Tavernier from Middlesbrough in the January transfer window, according to TEAMtalk.
It has been reported that Everton, Leicester and Wolves have all registered their interest in the midfielder, while Leeds are keeping tabs on the 21-year-old.
However, according to the report, Championship club Middlesbrough do not plan to cash in on the English youngster.
Neil Warnock’s side are aiming for the playoffs, and Tavernier is an important player in the team.
The report has added that Tavernier is not in a rush to leave Boro and will consider a move if Middlesbrough accept a bid.
Rising star
Tavernier has been in good form for Middlesbrough this season and is a rising star in the Championship.
The 21-year-old has made 19 starts and three substitute appearances in the Championship for Boro so far this season, scoring two goals and providing three assists in the process, according to WhoScored.
Middlesbrough are seventh in the Championship table at the moment with 36 points from 22 matches, just a point behind sixth-placed Watford.
