Report: Leeds United and Crystal Palace interested in Scott Banks

Leeds United, Crystal Palace, Southampton and Manchester City are reportedly interested in signing Scott Banks of Dundee United.

According to The Daily Record, Leeds United, Crystal Palace, Southampton and Manchester City are interested in signing Scott Banks from Dundee United in the summer transfer window.

It has been reported that Leeds in the Championship in England and defending Premier League champions City have sent scouts to watch Banks in action.

The report has also claimed of an offer of £400,000 from Crystal Palace for the 17-year-old winger, who spent the 2018-19 campaign on loan at Clyde.

It has been further reported that Southampton have made contact with Dundee and will watch the teenager in action for Robbie Neilson’s side against Inverness Caledonian Thistle in the Scottish Championship on Saturday afternoon.

Banks is a very talented and promising young winger, and at the age of 17, he has time on his hands to become the finished article in the coming years.

Reported interest from Leeds, City, Southampton and Palace underlines just how highly the 17-year-old is rated, and it will be interesting to see if United accept the £400,000 bid that Palace are claimed to have offered for him.
