Liam Bridcutt is set to swap Leeds United for Nottingham Forest.

Leeds United midfielder Liam Bridcutt is set to seal his move to Nottingham Forest in 24 hours, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post.

Bridcutt has been given permission by Leeds to hold talks with Forest, after falling down the pecking order at Elland Road.

The two clubs have been negotiating over the weekend and have reached an agreement.

The Whites have too many options in central midfield, leaving Scotland international Bridcutt as an afterthought in manager Thomas Christiansen’s plans.

Bridcutt has not started a league game for Leeds this season, a disappointing situation for last season’s club captain.

The midfielder has only one year remaining on his contract, making it smart business for Leeds to sell if he is not in their first team plans.

The move could be a bargain for Nottingham Forest – who take on Leeds this weekend in a battle of two of the Championship’s remaining undefeated teams.
