Leeds United are said to be in a two-way fight with Hull City to land the 26-year-old.

Leeds United have turned to Mbaye Diagne after missing out on four other strikers, according to the Daily Mirror (July 17 liveblog, 23:22 entry).
The newspaper claims Leeds are now in a ‘two-way fight’ to sign the 26-year-old, who has already entered talks with Hull City.
Interestingly, the striker Hull want Diagne to replace, Abel Hernandez, is among the targets said to have evaded the Whites, along with Derby County’s Matej Vydra, Middlesbrough’s Britt Assombalonga and Jonathan Kodjia.

On the plus side, however, the Daily Mirror states Diagne ‘is up for grabs’ for as little as £1.5 million, despite having scored 12 goals in 17 games during last season’s Turkish Super Lig campaign.
Leeds are understood to have prioritised the signing of a new centre forward, having allowed Pierre-Michel Lasogga, Jay-Roy Grot, Marcus Antonsson, Pawel Cibicki and Mallik Wilks to leave since the end of last term.
Meanwhile, one of Diagne’s former teammates at Kasimpasa, Kenneth Omeruo, appears to have hinted that he too could be on his way to Leeds this summer, instructing Jamal Blackman to “wait for meeeeeee” after the Chelsea goalkeeper moved to Elland Road on loan.
