The Hamburg striker is due to arrive at Leeds United on Thursday.

A report in Thursday’s printed edition of The Daily Mirror claims Leeds United will pay all of Pierre-Michel Lasogga’s £56,000-a-week wages.
Lasogga’s club Hamburg mistakenly confirmed his departure on Tuesday, but the striker is expected to sign for Leeds on a season-long loan deal nonetheless.

And according to The Daily Mirror, the Whites will have an option to buy Lasogga for £4 million.
In the meantime, it is claimed they will pay £56,000 a week to lend him – contradicting The Yorkshire Post’s claim that Leeds were not prepared to break their wage structure to accommodate the 25-year-old.
According to that report, Chris Wood had been United’s top earner, on £15,000 a week, ahead of his £15 million transfer to Burnley earlier this month.

And the suggestion they are set to almost quadruple Wood’s salary to secure his replacement will likely be met with some skepticism.
