The Mail claim Leeds have increased their survival bonuses paid out to the squad by £13million – taking a total pay out to £48million if Jesse Marsch keeps the Whites in the Premier League. Leeds beat Watford 3-0 on Sunday.
Saturday afternoon’s 3-0 win over Watford saw Leeds continue their improved form of late, winning 10 points from their last possible 12. Wins over Norwich and Wolves took Leeds into a much better position.
Now, the win over Watford was perfect. Everton beat Manchester United, meaning the pressure was on Leeds later on on Saturday – with Burnley expected to beat Norwich. But Leeds coped with said pressure to win 3-0.
Not only that, but Norwich shocked Burnley on Sunday – winning 2-0. It means Leeds have now opened up a nine-point gap between themselves and the bottom three, even if Burnley and Everton have games in hand.
It means the pay out of survival bonuses is likely come the end of the season and the Mail report that Andrea Radrizzani has upped the bonuses from last season’s £35million – to a whopping £48million.

Leeds have been brilliant since Marsch arrived and survival is almost a guarantee now – even with plenty of football still to be played. But to splash £48million on the club’s players is certainly an expensive one.
Yes, the TV money will hand Leeds plenty of profits and the club themselves announced a profit for 2020-21. But a summer reshuffle is expected with numerous new signings – so already spending £48million is a significant hit.
