Leeds United think they are going to be able to pull off a deal for Glasgow Rangers’ Ryan Kent, 90 Minutes report.

Kent has apparently told Rangers that he wants a move to Leeds now, with the Whites confident that a deal can be done.

Leeds have already seen a bid rejected for Kent, but they are optimistic that an agreement can be met with Rangers in the coming weeks, with the player said to be pushing for a move to Elland Road now.

The report is at odds with the Daily Record, who suggest that Kent is happy with Rangers, but they do say that Leeds are planning to bid around £14 million soon.

Marcelo Bielsa is thought to be desperate to bring Kent to Leeds, and the club thinks that they will be successful in their pursuit of him.

Bielsa apparently believes that Kent could go on to become an England international at Leeds, which is a testament to how highlight he rates the former Liverpool man.

Kent would have to compete with the likes of Jadon Sancho, Marcus Rashford, Raheem Sterling, Harvey Barnes, Bukayo Saka and Callum Hudson-Odoi to break into the England squad, so his form at Leeds would have to be exceptional for him to force his way into Gareth Southgate’s plans.

If Kent was brought to Leeds he would be in competition with the likes of Helder Costa and Jack Harrison for a first-team place.
