According to The Sun, Leeds United think they can land Manchester United winger Daniel James for £12million plus add-ons.
It’s claimed that Liverpool are back in the market for James, having famously missed out on signing him from Swansea City in January 2019.
Marcelo Bielsa remains a big fan of the Welshman, and now wants to bring hhim to Elland Road having fallen down United’s pecking order.
That could only get worse if United, as expected, sign another winger this summer, and Leeds are looking to finally tempt him up to West Yorkshire.
Leeds allegedly think that can strike a deal for around £12million plus add-ons, which is just shy of the £15million United paid just over a year ago.
The 22-year-old did start against Crystal Palace on Saturday evening but struggled in a 3-1 defeat – and his poor display has likely made the prospect of an exit even greater.

James would bring real speed and dynamism to the Leeds attack, whilst giving Bielsa a strong rotation of wingers alongside Helder Costa and Jack Harrison.
It would still be a surprise for United to cash in at that price, but after seeing Victor Orta in tears at missing out on James over 18 months ago, it’s no surprise to see Leeds linked again.
