Leeds United are reportedly back in for AC Milan attacking midfielder Charles De Ketelaere.

Leeds United want to sign AC Milan playmaker Charles De Ketelaere

Le Soir have reported that Leeds have told AC Milan that they are willing to sign De Ketelaere on a loan deal in the summer transfer window.

AC Milan are now willing to sell the 22-year-old in the summer of 2023, but the Rossoneri could be open to sending him out on loan.

Burnley and Atalanta have also come forward for a potential loan deal for the Belgium international attacker, described by former Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri as “practical, elegant, incisive” in August 2022.

Unlikely to happen… again

Leeds United’s interest in Charles De Ketelaere is not new.

Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano reported in July 2022 that Leeds had made a bid of £30 million for the youngster.

The Belgian playmaker was at Club Brugge at the time.

He moved to AC Milan.

Now, things have not gone according to plan for De Ketelaere at Milan, but we do not think that he would move to Leeds even on loan.

After all, the Whites could get relegated to the Championship at the end of the season.

And even if Leeds stay up, they are unlikely to do anything expect fight for survival.

We do not think that it would appeal to De Ketelaere.

De Ketelaere has made nine starts and 20 substitute appearances in Serie A for Milan this season.

The playmaker has given one assist in those games.
