Leeds United are reportedly keen on Middlesbrough’s Patrick Bamford.

According to the Yorkshire Evening Post, Leeds United are considering a move for Middlesbrough attacker Patrick Bamford after struggling to sign Derby County’s Matej Vydra.
The Whites were expected to spend heavily to back new manager Marcelo Bielsa this summer, but have brought in just two new faces ahead of the new season, with Jamal Blackman and Lewis Baker arriving on loan from Chelsea.
More new faces are expected before the start of the season, and whilst Wolverhampton Wanderers left back Barry Douglas is nearing a move to Elland Road, a new forward is needed.
The Yorkshire Evening Post report that Leeds are now moving on to other targets after hitting a dead end in their pursuit of Derby County’s Matej Vydra, and are now looking at Middlesbrough forward Patrick Bamford.
Bamford, 24, came up through the Nottingham Forest ranks before heading to Chelsea in 2012, and he spent most of his time out on loan, failing to make a single first-team appearance for the Blues.
Middlesbrough paid £6million rising to £10million (Gazette) to sign Bamford in January 2017, and it was Leeds director of football Victor Orta who oversaw his capture at the Riverside Stadium.

Bamford hit 11 goals in the Championship last season, and Leeds may now push for a big-money move to bring the forward to Elland Road, and he hit a hat-trick against the Whites in March.
Middlesbrough may not be keen to sell to a Championship rival, but if the money is good enough, Tony Pulis may well take the money and look to reinvest as Leeds look to spend big on a new forward.
