According to Superdeporte, Levante want to increase the release clause of Leeds United target Dani Cardenas to a huge €50million (£42.5million).
The Yorkshire Evening Post reported on Tuesday that Leeds are eyeing three goalkeepers following Kiko Casilla’s move to Elche.
Newcastle United’s Freddie Woodman and Valerenga’s Kristoffer Klaesson are two of them, with Levante stopper Cardenas the other one.
Victor Orta will know all about talents in Spain, and Cardenas is seemingly viewed as somebody who can compete with Illan Meslier at Leeds.
Cardenas, 24, was once on the books at Barcelona but impressed for Levante last season whilst deputising for Aitor Fernandez.
He only has 13 appearances for Levante to his name, but it’s now thought that Levante want to extend his contract and slap a £42.5million release clause into the deal.

Las Provincias noted earlier this year that his current release clause stands at €20million (£17million), meaning his value to Levante could more than double.
Cardenas may soon have to decide whether to join Leeds or sign a new deal. If he chooses the latter, that new release clause could take him out of Leeds’ reach for a long time.
