Marcus Antonsson has impressed since being allowed to leave Leeds on loan last summer.

The 27-year-old striker struggled in his first season at Elland Road, after a £2million move from Swedish side Kalmar. Just three goals during 2016-17 saw Leeds decide to loan the stuttering striker out on loan.
Loaned to Tony Mowbray’s Blackburn, Antonsson has since thrived at Ewood Park and played a pivotal part in helping the Lancashire-based side gain promotion back to the Championship at the first attempt.

He scored nine goals in 34 league and cup outings for Rovers, playing up front as well as adopting a wide berth at times to allow the likes of Danny Graham and Adam Armstrong start up front.
With a year left on his current Leeds contract, which the Daily Star claim is worth £6,000 a week, Antonsson’s future is in doubt at Elland Road with Paul Heckingbottom likely to sign a striker in the coming months.

The Whites already boast Caleb Ekuban and Kemar Roofe, while Ryan Edmondson and Sam Dalby look promising youthful options. Pierre-Michel Lasogga is likely to rejoin Hamburg this summer.
That leaves little room to manoeuvre for Antonsson. With a permanent deal said to be included in his loan deal, he could be set to leave Elland Road for good and join next season’s Championship rivals Blackburn.
