Leeds United are keen to bring Jonny Howson back to the club.

According to The Mirror, Leeds United have been told to pay £5million for the signature of Norwich City midfielder Jonny Howson.
The Whites have already added one central midfield player this summer by luring Polish international Mateusz Klich to Elland Road from FC Twente, but there could yet be more reinforcements for new boss Thomas Christiansen.
With The Sun claiming that Garry Monk wants to take Liam Bridcutt to Middlesbrough this summer, Christiansen may yet want another midfielder to compete with the likes of Kalvin Phillips, Ronaldo Vieira and Eunan O’Kane.
Now, The Mirror report that Leeds want to bring former captain Jonny Howson back to Elland Road, but Norwich City have told them to fork out a fee of £5million in order to sign him.
General view inside Elland Road
Howson, 29, came up through the ranks with Leeds having joined the club way back in 1997, and went on to not only skipper the side but also made 225 appearances for Leeds, scoring 28 goals.
Since joining Norwich, Howson has notched 24 goals in 174 games, playing a key role in the Canaries’ midfield, but new sporting director Stuart Webber and new manager Daniel Farke are planning a major overhaul this summer, and Howson could be on the chopping block.

However, at £5million, it remains to be seen whether Leeds and new sole owner Andrea Radrizzani would be willing to invest so much in bringing the midfielder back to Elland Road.
A fan favourite before his move to Norwich in 2011, Howson would be a popular signing among Leeds supporters, and Leeds may yet attempt to negotiate a lower price with Norwich in a bid to offer Howson an emotional return to the club.
