Leeds United are reportedly still hoping to snap up Sergi Canos and Ashley Fletcher.

According to the Yorkshire Evening Post, Leeds United are still hoping to push through loan deals for Norwich City winger Sergi Canos and West Ham United striker Ashley Fletcher before Tuesday’s transfer deadline.

The Whites have yet to make a signing during the January transfer window, but remain in the hunt for promotion, as they sit comfortably inside the play-off places whilst chasing an automatic spot.

Manager Garry Monk has been looking to add new faces to his squad, and Alex Mowatt’s move to Yorkshire rivals Barnsley – which was completed on Friday – may now give Monk some room to bring a new player to Elland Road.

The Yorkshire Evening Post report that Monk wants to bring in a new winger and and a new striker, with the Whites still hoping to lure Norwich City wide man Sergi Canos and West Ham attacker Ashley Fletcher to the club.

Canos, 19, only joined Norwich from Liverpool last summer, but has struggled to make an impact at Carrow Road, with the Spaniard starting just three games in all competitions.

Leeds have been linked with a move throughout the month but appeared to be facing an uphill battle over finances, only for new reports to suggest that Leeds remain keen on taking the former Barcelona youngster on loan with a view to a permanent deal.

Meanwhile, striker Fletcher was a summer target for the club before he chose to leave Manchester United for West Ham United, but the 21-year-old has also started just three games in all competitions this term.

The Hammers may be keen to loan the Keighley-born attacker out if they can snap up another striker themselves, and with just three days of the transfer window left to go, Leeds will be hoping for some movement on their top two targets.
