Leeds ace was reportedly gutted at missing out on move to Sunderland.

Leeds United goalkeeper Andy Lonergan was reportedly left ‘furious’ at the collapse of his deadline day move.
Lonergan was in discussions with Sunderland over a loan move to Wear side, but Leeds did not have a replacement ready.
The Sun (4/2 page 60) report Lonergan was angry as the move broke down.

Lonergan’s frustrations are partly understandable.
Sunderland were offering a chance to play regular first team football, instead of his back up role at Leeds.
The Black Cats made a late move for Lee Camp instead, who started for them on Saturday while Lonergan sat on the bench for Leeds.
Yet there must be some realism too.
When Lonergan signed at Leeds last summer he did so knowing he would be a back up.
To expect the club to let him leave after a matter of months was asking a lot, especially late in the transfer window.
