Well, it looks like Leeds United are about to sign their first player on what could be a busy deadline day.
In August, 90 Min reported that Leeds, Newcastle United and West Ham United were interested in bringing Bamba Dieng of Marseille to the Premier League.
And last week, RMC Sport reported that the Ligue 1 outfit would prefer if the Senegal international went to an English club.
And it looks like that’s about to materialise because according to Sky Sports, the 22-year-old attacker is set to fly into the UK ahead of joining the Elland Road club in what’ll be a £10 million deal.
Jesse Marsch needs additional firepower due to Patrick Bamford’s injury history and it looks Dieng is the man chosen to add depth to the Whites’ forward line.

If and when this happens, it’s a very exciting transfer for the West Yorkshire club.
The Mirror has previously reported that Dieng has been likened to a certain Sadio Mane, who tore up the Premier League with Southampton and Liverpool, winning the competition with the latter.
And if Dieng is even half the player as his compatriot then Leeds are getting one hell of a player – and for a relative bargain of £10 million, too.
The striker will undergo a medical with United later today, Sky Sports added in their original information.
Sitting sixth in the Premier League, it’s been a very decent start to the 2022-23 campaign for a Leeds outfit that almost got relegated last season.
And exciting as Dieng may be, the American manager might feel as if he needs another body through the door, before the 11pm deadline, to maximise his chances of overseeing a much better season this time around.
