Leeds are renowned for bringing in teenage talent from elsewhere.

The Scottish Sun have claimed that Leeds United are set to make their first signing of the January transfer window in the form of Motherwell rookie Stuart McKinstry.
The 16-year-old is set to join the Championship leaders next month in a move that will see Stephen Robinson’s Scottish Premiership outfit net a whopping £400,000 for the winger’s services.
McKinstry is highly-rated in the Well academy and was even promoted to the senior side on Boxing Day, as Robinson included him in the 18-man squad to face Kilmarnock – which saw Motherwell eventually lose 1-0 at home.
Leeds are renowned for bringing in young players at McKinstry’s age and developing them, with the likes of Sam Dalby, Jordan Stevens, Ryan Edmondson, Leif Davis and more being brought into the club from elsewhere.
They have all impressed in Carlos Corberan’s Under-23 side, and McKinstry will be excited at the prospect of a move to Leeds with Marcelo Bielsa keen to give his young stars a chance.
This season, the likes of Jack Clarke, Will Huffer, Aapo Halme, Davis, Jamie Shackleton and more have been given a go in the first team – despite the club sitting in top spot and closest to Premier League promotion since being relegated in 2004.
McKinstry is expected to travel south at some point this week for talks over a contract with the Championship side, as well as being showed the facilities at Elland Road and Thorp Arch. He has a contract with the Well until 2020.
