Leeds United are said to have sorted things out ahead of the player’s permanent move to Elland Road.

According to a report from West Yorkshire Sport, Leeds United have resolved the issue surrounding the impending transfer of Pontus Jansson from Italian side Torino
Earlier this month, Italian website Toro News reported that Torino believed they were owed £3.5million for the centre-back’s sale and wanted the money immediately, with Leeds allegedly holding out on paying until the end of the player’s loan contract.
A FIFA spokesman later confirmed an issue had arisen and that investigations into the contractual dispute were ongoing. However, West Yorkshire Sport now claims a deal has been struck.
Writing on their official Twitter account on Thursday morning, they said, “Torino had complained to FIFA about the 4million euro deal but it appears Leeds United have now paid either part or the whole of the figure.”
That is good news for Leeds fans eager to see Jansson remain at the club for the long term.

The Swedish international hit the ground running at Elland Road and quickly became a firm fan favourite, delivering outstanding performances week in, week out.
Only time will tell how long he remains at Leeds. However it seems they have at least secured his permanent signing and can now look ahead to significantly strengthening in other key areas of the field ahead of another promotion push in 2018.
