According to the Yorkshire Evening Post, Leeds United are ready to listen to offers for young left back Tom Pearce this summer.

Leeds are allegedly willing to sell the likes of Laurens De Bock and Eunan O’Kane, but Pearce is another name thrown into the mix of players who may go.

Pearce, 21, emerged into the Leeds first team under Paul Heckingbottom last year, and after some impressive displays, he signed a new deal until 2022 last summer.

Some thought Pearce would kick on this season, but Leeds splashed the cash on Barry Douglas instead, leaving youngster Pearce to play just five games for Marcelo Bielsa.

Pearce was sent out on loan to Scunthorpe United in League One in January, but they suffered relegation to League Two, and the left back returns to Elland Road this summer with his career in limbo.

Now, the Yorkshire Evening Post claim that Leeds are ready to sell Pearce, marking a major turn of events since the excitement surrounding his performances just a year ago.

Pearce may attract Championship interest, whilst it may even be of importance to Pearce’s former club Everton, who wanted him back according to a report from The Sun on Sunday (28/10; page 59).

A move to the Premier League would be a shock, but some may see the potential in Pearce, which Leeds are seemingly willing to overlook thanks to Leif Davis’s development this term.
