Leeds United are interested in Slavia Prague midfielder Oscar Murphy Dorley and could pay £7 million to bring the Liberian to Elland Road, as reported by EFotbal.
The West Yorkshire faithful might be feeling a little nonplussed about this latest transfer link. After all, 22-year-old Dorley is not exactly a household name – or even one of the most high-profile players in a team who won the Czech title last season.
Then again, as West Ham fans will tell you, it is worth giving this Slavia starlet the benefit of the doubt.
Both Vladimir Coufal and Tomas Soucek have taken the Premier League by storm since swapping the 2020 Czech champions for the London Stadium, the former proving to be a £5 million bargain while the latter emerging as one of England’s most prolific central midfielders.
Dorley was not exactly one of the first names on the team-sheet as Slavia lifted the Fortuna Liga crown in 2020, starting just 14 games overall, but it may be his versatility which caught Marcelo Bielsa’s eye.

A defensive midfielder by trade, Dorley is also a capable left-back.
It is no secret that a new left-sided defender is one of Leeds’ top priorities heading into the summer window, with Gianni Alioski yet to extend a contract which is due to expire in July.
According to EFotbal, Leeds are willing to pay £7 million for Dorley, the 15-time Liberia international who was scouted by Manchester City late last year (iSport).
