Young Boys winger Moumi Ngamaleu is a man in demand with TEAMtalk reporting that Leeds United, Everton and Steven Gerrard’s Rangers have all scouted the Cameroon international.

Rangers would have known that this was coming.

When Marcelo Bielsa likes a player, he really, really likes him. And, after trying and failing to sign Ryan Kent on a number of occasions since taking over at Elland Road in 2018, it felt like a matter of time before a new offer was landing on Gerrard’s desk.

According to The Sun, Bielsa has told Victor Orta, Leeds’ cult hero director of football, to make a £15 million move for the newly-crowned Scottish Premiership winner.

Kent is expected to turn down a move to West Yorkshire, however, with Rangers offering him the chance to play Champions League football next term.

Although Leeds, it seems, are prepared for every eventuality, with Ngamaleu lined up as an alternative option for the left-wing role.

The jet-heeled 26-year-old has produced eight assists and three goals this term for a Young Boys side who have already secured a fourth straight Swiss league title.

TEAMtalk reports that Ngamaleu has also been watched by Brighton and Hove Albion, Leicester City and, interestingly enough, a Rangers side looking to provide competition for – rather than replace – Kent at Ibrox.

Ngamaleu found the net 24 times in the last two seasons as well.

And there is always a market for a winger with an eye for goal.
